Healthy Gym Etiquette

Sep 22, 2020

We have a full-time janitor to clean and disinfect the gym daily.

We have a HEPA filtration system on our HVAC system to help purify the air. Windows and doors will be open at all times, unless the outside air quality is dangerous.

We have hand sanitizer at the entrance of the gym. We ask that children wash their hands with soap and water or clean their hands with hand sanitizer before they enter and upon leaving the gym area. AGC provides soap, water, and hand dryers for hand washing, along with hand sanitzer.

Gymnasts are required to bring their own water bottle. AGC  provides a filterd water dispenser for easy refills.

We have established entrance and exiting procedures for the gym traing area.

All employees and students have the option to wear masks while on premises.

Students will be permitted to wear whatever other safety equipment (masks, gloves or feet protection) that parents request.

We will follow and exceed all State, City and county regulations set forth by the SF department of Health and Safety. Please keep your child home if they have any of the following symptoms: Fever, Chills, Feeling Unusually Weak or Fatigued, Loss of Taste or Smell, Muscle pain, Headache, Cough, Sore Throat, Shortness of Breath, Difficulty Breathing, Runny or congested nose, Diarrhea, or Nausea.

We recognize that AGC staff are not medical professionals, but we will ask all staff to look at the child or youth coming to gym. We will ask them for the safety of all involved to look for signs of illness like flushed cheeks, rapid breathing or difficulty breathing, fatigue, or extreme fussiness. Children with symptoms or a fever will be sent home.
